Hey guys. Looking at purchasing a boat lift, used. I have a Reinell 198FNS, 3060 according to specs. The issue is I can get a 3000lb shore master for quite a bit cheaper than a 4000lb shoremaster. Found a few used every once in a while. Never had a lfit, how "exact" are the weight restrictions. Is lifting a 3060lb boat on a lift rated for 3000lb going to be a big issue? Do I need to consider going for the 4000lbs even though they're often $2,000 more?

Any help is appreciated :)

Your boats dry weight is 3060#. That is before oil, gas, gear, cover, toys, etc
