I have a 85 Sea Ray Weekender with a 260v8
Here is the problem. I have a water leak coming in below the exhaust Y pipe. I have replaced all the Bellows on the transom and Yesterday Pulled the motor and removed the Y pipe and Replaced the Gasket. It did not seem all that bad. I put the boat in today and lo and behold water is still coming in below the Y pipe.I cannot tell without a camera exactly where but it is running in on the bottom of the transom assembly. Any Ideas would be greatly appreciated. On Monday I will tilt the boat up and put some water in the bilge and look for a leak somewhere. The Exhaust looked in good condition and it does not leak with mufffs on it. The amount of water coming in is quite a good stream I would say like a stream from a good size straw. Way more than if the exhaust gasket was compromised. I am out of ideas at this point. How do the trim hoses connect to the transom and could water come in that way? Please Help......................
Thanks
Have a great 4th I'll be drowning my sorrows at home not on the lake

Well I put enough water in the bilge for the leak to start and found that there was no Zinc on the bottom of the trim hose block causing the hole through the middle to let water into the boat. It was pouring out. I am in the process of getting a new zinc and gasket and this should be the end of the leakage. Also found the new Zinc had a rubber plug to install in the hole through the trim hose block which was not in mine. It is amazing how much water can come through that 5/16 hole.
Thanks again
