I've only had the boat in the water 2 times and both times its given me the same issue. I can accelerate it nice and slow up to 30mph but as soon as I get to this point, I give it more gas and the boat does nothing. Give it a little more gas and the boat will start to break up a little. Give it more gas and the struggling will continue but then the boat will jump out of the water and speed right up to 50mph. same thing goes for slowing down. I will let off the throttle and the boat wont go any slower. When I get the throttle to a certain point, the boat will then suddenly slow down to 30mph. I cant figure out where to start. Its a 1989 liberator with a 5.7 and a brand new outdrive. has a newer holley carb on it, fuel water separator and not sure on the distributor.
