What would be the best size fenders for a 25' Thundercraft Magnum Express. I boat in Lake Ontario and St. Lawrence River. Most Places I dock are relatively calm

Re: Boat Fenders

think you want "medium" size fenders. i think they are about 16"x6". was at boat u.s. with a friend, they sold 3 sizes, we chose the middle size for his 22' deck boat.

I feel Bigger is Better.... And you'll want twice as many as you thought... Too many is a storage problem, Not Enough Could be a Major Repair....

Re: Boat Fenders

I'm with bondo on this one. The best fender is the biggest fender. I keep one 12" round one on board for when I'm tied to another boat.

Re: Boat Fenders

J_Papi.....I used to have a Doral Citation, very similar to the Magnum Express, had 6 of the 8x20 type that had the hole through the middle, used the adjustable fender hangers that snaped around rails, etc. Had 2 pair of Taylor fender holders up near the bow that would hold 4 of them while under way and the other 2 sat in the back cockpit section, could use all 6 on one side when we had to.

J_Papi<br />I have a 21 foot Crestliner runnabout and I use a 10 by 30 inch up front, a 8 by 22 in middle and back. Also have two 18 inch round used mostly when rafting with other boats or when have to back into a dock or as a anchor buoy when Sturgeon fishing. I started with smaller ones but these work best
