I have a 2005 Maxum 1800 SR3, replacing material on side boards, looking for recommendations on quality marterials. Everything I am seeing on amazon says falls apart quickly. Thanks

Don't look on Amazon. See your local marine upholstery shop and look at their catalogs

They are usually made of marine vinyl. Marine vinyl is avail at many places, even Amazon. A lot of marine vinyl sellers will send you samples for free or a nominal charge.

Gee, I bought some at Jo-ann fabrics. It was fine.......

See what the canvass shops use, order a sample so you can see color and then order that brand/color from the place with the best price.

Good marine vinyl will be about $15-60 a yard

Spradling, Sunbrella Horizon are just a few. Sources like Rochford, Sail Rite, trivantage, and others

The side bolsters
It is referred to as Coaming trim. You can go on the cheap at Joanns fabrics which I would only recommend if you are gonna keep it dry and covered. Or you can get the right material at Sailrite which will cost $15-$25per yd depending on the width and style.. If you have the patients you can do some eBay shopping .I have come across marine vinyl remnants occasionally that suited my needs cheaply.Charlie
