boat cover

I just bought a boat and i haven't even got it in the water and the gas cap broke, the back pad on top of the engine compartment is defective because it is too short and now when it rains one side of the cover fills up with wateri tried adjusting the pole put if it goes any higher the snaps wont snap because there too far away.Should i go back to the dealership and get the cover fixed or is there something i can do to fix this.

Posibly add a flexible bow inside.
