Hello Guys!
Just did for my boat a Support Pole for its cover and wnat to share the info about it. Spent less than $19.00 and get it ready in no more than 30 minutes.

List of materials

1. (2) 6'' square black rain crate for 3'' and 4''
2. (2) 2'' x 1-1/2 reducer/increaser
3. (2) 1-1/2 PVC cap slip
4. (1) 1-1/2 x 10' PVC40 Pipe

with a dremel reduce the bottom border of the PVC reducer/increaseR so it can fit in the rain crate

witth a hammer and a piece of wood just tap a few times until the increaser/reducer get in the rain crate

cut the pvc pipe (desire lenght) and slide in to the rain crate

then slide the cap slip

I screw in the wood board pictured into the rain crate for suppor pole stability

hope this helps you out....

Nice job. I might have to copy that maybe just put some sort of strap under the top cap to tie off to the cleats on either side.

like this ones better than the arc pvc from side to side. I place same piece of wood that I use to tap under the rain crate for stability, its working great. I use the support pole when boat is storage, not for trailering. But straps under the cap sounds like a good idea and could be more easier when covering cause will hold supporT pole in position, will give it a try. Show me yours if go this way.

Thanks 4 your comment.

Here is the board I add for stability, just 2 self tapping screws thru the rain crate will hold it in place.
