My cheap cover gave it up today and ripped.
Since I’m rebuilding I want to get a good cover. Im looking at a Shark skin cover I found. It comes with a 10 year warranty for leaks, water repelling, any rips or tears etc. And they don’t prorate it either as time passes.
Has anyone had any experience with a Shark skin cover that could share some knowledge?
Or any recommendations for a good cover? All I need is a 16’ long 75” wide for a Jon boat without a console.

I'd like to know as well.

There are no reputable custom cover makers in my area, so I'm sort of hanging out in the breeze.

I'll be following this thread.

Bad stuff about these guys on BBB. Maybe someone will recommend a company on this thread.

I ordered a Carver boat cover today. I got the Sundura model which is one step down from their Sunbrella. It’s a styled to fit (simicustom) supposed to be made to fit my specific model. I’ll let you know how it turns out.

Check to see if there are any car collector clubs in your area, many of these guys that do auto interiors will also do boat covers and they are often at a much better price. I have used these folks a number of times with great results.

In the last 60 years I have bought covers from several different companies, plus my Dad was a "sailmaker" in the Navy, and he made the best bot covers of all.

I have a real "Sharkskin" cover from TaylorMade and I have to say the material is the strongest and best lasting of any other. But it was a generic cover, so the fit was "close".

Second best is a Carver cover. They make a generic (based on dimensions only) , a semi-custom (real close to what you need), and a Custom Cover (made specifically to fit your make and model).

Sunbrella is the best, but I personally think the Sundura is a close match. I have one of each and I really don't see the difference.

No matter what material is used, being custom/ properly fitted cover will always last the longest!!
