Does anyone have any suggestions on cleaning a boat cover. Its a couple of years old and its got a couple of mildew spots in it. The biggest problem is all of the dust it has collected. When I take it off or put it on the dust that comes off is thick and always sends me into sneezing fits.Any suggestions? tk

Re: Boat cover cleaning

The best you can do, other than to replace it, while stretched out on the boat scrub it lightly with a light solution of laundry detergent, then pressure wash it, keeping the wand just close enough to clean the fabric.

If you find that the cover does not hold water out as well, you can spray it lightly, using something like a wagner power sprayer, with waterbased Thompson's water seal(clear). This will make the cover a little crisp but works very well and does not deteriorate the acrilyc canvas.
