Good afternoon

I have a 1997 Celebrity 180 it came out with a factory canopy top or convertable top. Its the thing you put up when the rain starts coming down or you want to get out of the sun. The top its self is good but the issue is how it attaches to the windshield. Everyone i had seen before had the little round snaps very simple. This thing has a ruber channel/molding that presses down into the windshield frame and makes a tight seal all the way around. This seams like a good idea but the rubber has rotted and ripped away from the canvas. I am pulling my hair out trying to find the replacment rubber molding so that i can sew it on and be good to go:eek:. Can someone help me out with what the name of this molding is or who would have it?

Thanks
Richard

Can you install snaps on the windshield? Or maybe buy a new bimini top and hardware off ebay? There's some on there for about $160.00..

The type you have I don't like because it's too low to stand while moving unless you unzip and stick your head out! Works good for rain, but a bimini is better for sun.

most times you look in the yellow pages you can find upholsters that do canvas tops.

I have the same problem. I can't find it anywhere. Top is in great shape but rubber is gone.
