Greetings all!

Has anyone used the Boat Buddy for securing their boat to the trailer. I have a 22 ft Four Winns and if it works as advertized, it would help loading by myself easier.

Thanks,
Waynerh

There is one on Ebay I am bidding on, but I have not met one person with one yet, like you I want to know more. Seems like a good thing for one person boating.

it takes a 100% properly set up trailer, and one heck of an operator to kit that little target with the bow eye. especially when you can see either of them. imho, gimmick.

Also it seems to require power loading to work if I'm reading the description of the product properly. That's not allowed at the ramp I go to and many others.

A bunch of guys from the marina tried them when they first came out. Most abandoned them after a few weeks of trials for various reasons.

As tashasdaddy said everything has to be just right for them to work, including the angle of the trailer at the ramp. This makes it tough when you?re in tidal water and the angle of approach is all over the place due to the tides.

Re: Boat Buddy?

The one that my cousin has on the trailer for his GX 150 works really good, but it wouldn't work on my V156's trailer. They seem to work well with bass boat style hulls, that set on top of the bow stop.
