Try shifting as much weight to the front as you can. When you get on plane, trim out until it starts porpoising and then trim in in small increments until it stops. Give the boat time to settle in between trim bumps. A little practice makes it easy to know where it's going to run best. Some folks eventually go to a 4-bladed prop if it's too bad and cant be corrected any other way.

Pwilson<br />I agree with Jack, trim OUT until starts to hobby horse then IN until it stops and runs smooth. This is the best setting unless your are pulling a skier then I would trim IN more to jump on plane faster.

Porpoising can also be caused by improper motor angle ie lower part of motor too close to transom. What happens is, as the bow of the boat rises the forward rake of the motor pushes the bow back down where it bounces off the water and the cycle repeats itself. Try tilting the motor back a little ie lower end away from transom.

if trimming it down does not help the only other solution is to apply more throttle, that usually works at least it does when I am driving.
