Great day today.sunshine, fairly warm. A good day to pull the tarp covers back and check out the boats. WELLLLLL the 16 SS rebuild is ready with a good spring clean up needed ,for the season or mabey to be sold??????? Now the news on my 22 holiday , very stock and origional. The Hull does not leak. Ill tell you how I know. I get inside looked over the rear area checked the wireing and cables and proceeded to the bow area, Every thing looked gooooood till I looked down. Ops there was standing water in the hull from the bow to just past the dash area. No wonder the tires looked low LOL .I gatherd a battery from the shop and connected it to the boat ,then I raised the
big motor and set the lock on it. I then got out the floor jack a bunch of 4by4 and 2by 4 pieces and proceeded to raise the bow. I had to raise the motor as with it down could not raise the bow high enough. Pulled the plug and let it drain. It ran and ran and ran forever till it stoped. I figure about 100-150 gallons of water from the 19 inches of snow melt and rain. I found on top or the boat a small hole and a puddlr of weighted tarp. Got rid of it all And every thing seems good. Hope the floor stays solid or a fall project is ahead that I wont be pleased with. My fault should have checked closer as both boats were under a complete cover untill the wind destroyed it weeks ago. . A bit older tody but a lot wiser thanks for letting me vent. Can hardly wait till I get them cleaned out for spring. ,

You're lucky you are on that side of the mountains. We're still getting into the 20's every night. Hope your decking dries out, a few sunny days should help.

But hey Puge, great news that the hull dosen't leak.;) Maybe a good bilge pump with a float would be a good start for the boat...that and remove the plug. Oh well it could be worse, but it is warming up:D

Put a light in on a sunny day today seems nothing was up front to get wet and everything else is stored in plastic containers and all electronics come in for the winter. Your right, no harm no foul. Looking good. Spring is getting closer daylight saveings time starts Sunday night.
