Blown hydraulic seal/no trim function

So a couple friends and I went out boating today for a good 5 hours because we couldn't pass up the 85 degree weather in october. The boat ran great, although during the last like 3 hours, everytime we stopped I noticed a significant amount of sheen on the water. I didn't really think much of it though. Then during the last hour, I noticed the trim adjustment acting very sluggish (I raise the trim up some when once I get on plane when towing a wakeboarder to create a better wake).

We called it a day, and once I had it on the trailer in the water, I brought the trim up. But once I got it out of the water and stopped to pull the drain plug, I noticed it was hardly up at all. I told my buddy to hit the switch, and it did nothing. I had to manually lift the outdrive up and strap it there for the drive home. I can see hydraulic oil leaking from the cylinder on the side of the outdrive as well.

Neither I or my dad know squat about Penta's, as we have owned a Tri-Star for the last eight years, and a classic Ski Nautique before that.

Does anybody have any idea what may have gone wrong and what its gonna take to fix it?

The outdrive has DP CO TRIM on the side of it, if that helps. The boat is a 1993 Wellcraft 210 S.

I attached a picture below. Or at least I hope I did, I'm on my phone so I hope it works.

Re: Blown hydraulic seal/no trim function

Looks correctly like leaky trim cylinders. Also looks like you have water in the oil. Hence you need to also drain the system, to ensure you get all the water out before refilling after repairs.

Someone correct me, but I do not think they are "re-buildable" - although you can try a hydraulics shop and see what they say.

You have to dig up your engine drive information, so you can verify the information, but I think these are the cylinders you are looking for: http://www.volvopentastore.com/Trim-Cylinders/dm/*******.691999226--**********.418971747--store_id.366--view_id.772662
