Blowing fuses

I have a 95 Jeep Cherokee and every time I hook up the trailer, I blow a fuse (controls the A/C, and something else - can't remember). I didn't seem to cause any problems with a Mercury Mountaineer that I used once. Any ideas? The lights on the trailer work fine despite the blown fuse. I installed a t-connector.

Its possible that the fuse you are blowing feeds the marker lights. Did you check the marker lights on the trailer after the fuse blows? It could be this circuit on the trailer that has a short..... :)

Knoxes,

Your Mountaineer was probably suffering too. You just may not have noticed because if it had a trailer tow package, it had seprate relays that control trailer electrical functions.

Like Schematic said, you have a short.

I would start by making up a jumper wire and plug one circuit at a time (on the trailer) to find out which one is the culprit.
