blower motor buzzing

Hi guys,
I have a 2002 Crownline 180BR. It has about 350 hours on it. This weekend, the blower motor started buzzing pretty bad. Do you think I need a new one? If so, where can I get one? Also, is it hard to swap out? Where is it in the engine compartment...some pics would be great.

to find your blower motor your gonna need some investigating skills

first, turn on the blower

second, go to the bilge area

third, locate the source of the blower noise, in this case it should be quite easy

fourth, the cylindrical object making the noise is your blower motor assy

it should be fairly straightforward how to replace it

Did that, looks like there is a white cylinder item that is in line with the duct work. Would that be it?

Any idea how I can find out the part number to replace it for my 180BR?

yes that is it

remove it and measure the diameter of the oricfices, it will be either 3" or 4" - replace it with one of the same diameter - brand prefernce is up to you

Crap....I'm in St. Louis...the boat is in Cuba MO. I knew I should have removed the thing this afternoon. I'll try to find out if it is 3" or 4". Thanks for the help...

For your boat you need the titanium plated, reverse ratcheted, duel tanged slither with a 1/2 notched wangstaff adaptable 3ply nuxerless quiped triple Tasmanian nitro thunderfluked blower. Or just go to Iboats or Napa and get whichever one is on sale fo $25.00
