I posted an early question before about switching a pre alpha with a alpha, and well I have done it. Everything fits ok, but the alpha drive has a oil check valve in the upper part of the housing. I believe I have read that some models have a external oil over fill tank witch is what I belive this is for. I was planing on simply taping it and adding a small plug, or just letting the gasket seal it, haven't decidied yet. Wanted to know if this is a no no or not.

The hole has a check valve in it. No need to do anything but bolt it up. Even if the check valve does leak, the gasket will seal it.
