Block drain plug

Can someone tell me the "exact" location of the starboard block drain plug. I know I sound soo stupid! I removed them last fall and cannot figure out where the last one goes. Yeah...I went directly across from the block drain plug on the port side and still CANNOT locate it. All scraped up and breathing fire...THANK YOU!!!!!

Sorry, it's in my Sig and was in a rush... 2001 5.7L GSI

Which GSI model do you have? There are a few versions. If you go here and search for your full engine model (you'll need the letters after the GSI), you can download your owner's manual for free. It has engine diagrams and pictures of where the drain plugs are. I assumed you have a GSIPEFS. It shows it almost directly across from the port drain plug.

By the way, the 5.7 GSI was out of production in 2000. Boat year rarely equals engine year.

On mine, the starboard side drain is on the tee fitting connected to the knock sensor.

Yes, mine is a 1998 GSI. The knock sensor is item 82 and the drain is item 60 in the attached image.

THANK YOU! You are the man! I slept horrible last night because i was so mad and worked up that i would not find the location, true story! Got home and presto! Right where you said it was. Naturally the elbow that the drain plug screws into was facing the bow so there was no way for me to see it. I'm sure i would have polished off a few more tonight and went to bed mad again, had you not helped me! Thank you!
