Block date stamp is 10-11-93 Is it a 1993 or 1994 model?

I just picked up a Black Max 200HP, the serial number is faded off the sticker, but the block date is late 1993. Any idea what year the engine is?

Mercury usually starts it's model year in late May or June,so it's a 1994 model.

Thanks, it does look very similar under the cover to my 1997. Manuals seem to cover 1994-1997, maybe things are different before and after those dates.
