Bleeping Motor - Or Is It The Diagnostics?

I have a 2005 Johnson 2 stroke engine. My diagnostic led display will sometimes cycle while running the boat. The led go through the cycle and I get a single beep which is same as when I first turn on the key. What is a good way to troubleshoot this problem. It is very intermittent.

Check and clean all wire terminals at key switch.

possible bad key switch or possible bad system check guage.

clean battery terminals and tighten with a wrench, throw away wing nuts...wing nuts are for Detroit hockey fans, not batterys.

Probably you are seeing power on reset of the System Check system. Look for a loose wire, likely under the dashboard near the ign key.
