My phone is just that....a phone. Maybe I am way behind the times with this but that is all I need from a phone. My plan is only $15 per month with no extras. That's what I like about it. Mrs Ken has the same as well.

With the blackberry there is a addiction factor to watch out for, the polititions and media can not live with out them so they are refered to as crack berrys:D

Re: Blackberry

I have a BB Storm & love it.. Lots of good tech info on crackberry.com
Caution: You can buy apps from different sources & they are usually fine ... BUT many of the apps you download online from an advertisement or off another website- has hidden details burried in the 5 pages of accept/decline ! Unfortunatley you may not find out your subscribed to a 20 dollar a month for an extra cool little application. So they hit ya for 19.95 bucks right away, and at the end of themonth you may have to pay another 19.95 just to cancel.. ( Dont ask how I know this......) Also sites that send you football scores as they update ? YOU may have free texting, but the sender may not use a provider on your "free" list ! (DOnt ask how I know THIS either :( LOL .. I have always said my BBStorm is a great little computer, but it has ****ty phone quality ! I still love taking pics with my Storm & sending them straight to Facebook (as in my sig pic) or sending them straight to email !:D Billfo

Re: Blackberry

Thanks for the heads-up, I noticed, in small print, when going to MLB app. there was a $4.99 charge that I declined to accept. So far it's been a fun toy to play with.

Re: Blackberry

My crackberry is the best thing that has come along in a long time.

I'm a Sales Rep. for an international company with clients on 5 different continents. With all the time zones involved I?m basically on call 24/7. I have phone, text, and E-mail capability on my crackberry so I can ?work? anytime from anywhere. The boat is the referred to by my boss as the floating office. :):)

I?m an avid surf fisherman as well. There is nothing like fishing at the office. ;)

Re: Blackberry

So far i'm loving it. I just came in from outside, raking leaves from the front yard, (that time of year), and my e-mails are coming in and my, still working, Buddies are texting me. I haven't missed a beat. I'm trying to figure out how to put my pictures of the grand kids and the boat videos in it but i'm sure it's ez. Just didn't realize what I have been missing. I'm sure the glow will go away but until then.....i'm....:D

Re: Blackberry

With the desktop software you just click on Media and you can figure it out from there.

You have to add a micro SD card to the phone. It goes in behind the battery. Go for a 4 or 8 gig card, should be enough unless you got tons of videos.

Serious..... crackberry.com is a great web site with ton's of info..... however check blackberry.com first

The single MOST important and useful program I have installed is Quick Pull Lite. It is a reboot program (that the verizon rep recommended) that reboots the blackberry at a time you select. We have and use 3 in our home and they reboot between 2-3 am daily. It seems as if most problems (freezing up) come from not rebooting.

Re: Blackberry

We have 5 crackberry's in our house and everybody loves them we have 2 curve's and 3 pearl's ( I have a curve ) . I love the danged thing other than the size of the keyboard compared to my MITTS :D. I even have Tetherbery on it now which means I can hook it to my laptop anywhere I am and actually surf the web with broasband from anywhere the phone gets a signal that app alone is great as I dont have to cary around an extra air card or anything other than my phone and a usb cable . ( Note there is no extra charge with Verizon for tetherberry other than paying for the initial app ) other carriers such as ATT  want you to pay every month to be able to use it .

Re: Blackberry

Tech. question, is there a way to increase the font while on the web? I can do the font change on just phone numbers and things like that but when I go to web it shrinks like it's fine print on a contract.

Re: Blackberry

So if the silver/black is a blackberry then a silver/red is a strawberry, a silver/pink is a raspberry. Would that makes a silver/brown a dingleberry? :D

Re: Blackberry

I guess I'm old school.. I don't need to be in constant email contact for my work, and I'd just as soon not be... ditto for texting... I have no interest in it. I have a phone, that's just a phone... when I want to be in touch, I turn it on... often it's off until I feel the need to make an outgoing call...

When I'm doing something I enjoy doing, mostly the phone is off... I consider it a luxury to not be bugged. It annoys me when I'm having a beer with buds and about every 3-4 min's, there is some text/email etc coming in that they feel the need to reply to... (social, not work related) kinda like whipper snappers being on MSN all the time. See, sounds old school eh?
