Heading to Black Lake 1st week in July and was wondering if anybody fished there this year or last July? Normally head to Canada because of the Zebra mussell problem in the Saint Lawrence. Our group target mostly bass and is there any 'Zebra' infestation at Black Lake yet?

Re: BLACK LAKE

Hey, Bondo!

We're planning on making a jump over to the river from Black Lake in July. Makes sense the smallies are deeper due to more light. Any deep hotspots around our old stomping grounds out of Clayton or the Roosevelt cottage areas? Been at least 6 or 7 years since our last visit. How about Mud Bay on Ontario?

Are the bucketmouths still in the river bays?
Do you know Bob Cooper? I think that was his name - used to run a boat repair on the st. law near Clayton. Nice guy - loved our moonshine.!

Later on!
