black film coming out of exhaust?

hello guys 1987 searay 350, last time boat was in use was 2009, I already did a tune up, new plugs, new cap, new rotor, new cables, new starter, new alternator, put the engine on timing, new oil filter, new fuel filter, change oil, gas is fresh on gas tank, boat is running on muff good, but when I accelerated just throttle up between 1200 rpm and 2000, I can see a black film coming out of the exhaust what is that? please advice

Got any pics? Hard to say. Is it coming out of the prop or the idle relief ports?

How long did you let the engine?
Was the engine fogged during previous layup?

I don't know because I just got the boat like 5 months ago, the engine was running for about 30 minutes and I giving just a quick gas and is when the black film came out of the exhaust

Probably just from being slightly rich from startup due to choke. Every boat I have ever had with a carb does this.

Ayuh,.... Agreed,..... Soot from a rich condition,..... No problem at this point, quite expected,....
