A while back there was some posts on crazy stuff that we did when we were children. I thought it would be cool to post some for when we were in our early 20's. You know when you thought you knew everything since you were on your own now. I'll start off with one of mine.

Lisbon Falls Maine, 1977
I was stationed at NAS Brunswick for a tour of duty. I lived off base at a brand new apartment complex in Lisbon Falls. I did DJ work on the side, so I had a very loud sound system. Everything was cool before all the new apartments around me were rented. I had been the first to move into the complex. After 3 months the landlord warned me about the loud music. So I put my system in a storage unit on base. This action guarnteed that I wouldn't be evicted for loud music.

Things were fine for another 3 months. During this period I met some other tennants. One couple and I got along great. We got along so well, they invited me to move in. So I turned my notice into the landlord that I would be moving out. He was happy to hear that news. Then when he found out about me moving into a nearby unit of his, he got really bent out of shape. It turns out that this guy was trying to have an affair with the wife of my room mate. At that time there wasn't any feeling between me and her, but the landlord thought we were.

This landlord got so mad and gave me 30 days to move out. By law, I had to. After 3 weeks into my 30 day period, I look out the window and see the landlord in his trackhoe. We watched him while we were drinking our morning coffee. We couldn't figure out what he was doing. He drove the trackhoe across the parking lot, raised the bucket up real high and dropped it onto the back of my Gremlin! He crushed the rear of my car flat. As he was still in forward motion as well, he pushed the car forward into some concrete steps of his apartments destroying them and the front of the car as well. Just like in the movies without any graphics. This was a real life experience to witness.

He gets his 400lb body out of the trackhoe and comes to the door. He asks for me and I go out. BTW the cops were already called and show up just as I was walking out of the apartment. The landlord reaches out and grabs my 110 pound body by the throat and lifts me up off the ground. I sure was glad that 4 policemen witnessed this action by the landlord. They then made him remove the trackhoe from the parking lot and my car (what was left of it). Then they hauled his but to the station.

His insurance paid for the damages and of course I had to move out. His adventure caused him to spend 3 years in jail and the loss of all his property. It seems funny now to look back and realize that this was all over a piece of tail. Of course I don't think the landlord thinks its funny now.

What is your bizzare story?
