Hi All

I just dropped off my 125 to a mechanic for a carby sync/gear oil, impellor and general service ( as well as to check the overheat buzzer)... I figured paying him a couple of hundred bucks is money well spent. I'll let you know how it goes!!

Also, further to a previous post about my 125 1988 model ignition, the previous owners mechanic charged him $440.00 PLUS labour to remove the old ignition system, and supply a second hand distibutor system.... seems like a lot of effort and money rather than fix the original kit.... who knows why! Whatever, it works:)

Re: Bit the Bullet!

Id did that the first couple of services with my motor. I was lucky as the mechanic was experienced with Force outboards. Not cheap but it allowed me time to learn how to do the servicing myself. After stumbling onto this great site and getting help from the generous people here I now feel comfortable working on the motor myself. I went from cursing the fact I owned a Force outboard to really enjoying owning it.

Hope all goes well with your motor.

Cheers

Dean
