Man that sucked for both the bird and plane.. cant eat the bird, plane cant be re-used but, at least the pilot got to try out his chute!

Unfortunatly I couldent get the video to load<br /><br />During WW2 the British were studying bird strike in Jet engines by catapulting dead chickens into jet intakes. The sent their results to the USA, the American testers tried to duplicate the tests but with disasterous results.<br />Seems that they were using frozen chickens.

Saw on Ripleys one night, where a jet on an aircraft carrier inhaled one of the deck hands right into the engine, but he survived.<br /><br />
