biodegradable wax necessary?

It's time to get the boat cleaned up and ready to go out. I've been using a regular mequire's marine wax up until now, but I've been seeing more "biodegradable" waxes for sale. Since I usually try to use eco-friendly cleaning products on the boat when I can, I'm curious if these waxes are necessary and if they work as well as a regular wax?

Sounds like a "we're going green" marketing ploy...How much wax can be on your boat, end up in the water, have any impact at all?....

carnuba wax is plant based, should be about as green as you can get.

Stick with what you've been using.
