Binnacle control, twin stick for outboard?

Hey guys maybe some of you have more experience with this than me...

I am working on a small trawler project which is to be powered by a 70hp johnson (1988). The typical outboard binnacle control with a single lever just doesn't look right in the cockpit. So, I am wanting to install a more traditional looking twin stick control (black knob shift, red knob throttle). The unit I have in mind is a Seachoice 28401. Does anyone know if a control box like this can be modified to control an outboard and use omc cables? Is the throw for throttle and shift comparable to an outboard's box? Or does anyone recommend a chrome binnacle box with twin stick (single engine red=throttle, black=shift) that is compatable with outboards?

Thanks in advance

Many years ago I used to install duel controls made by Teleflex, look them up or give them a call, I bet they will have something that will work for you.
