Can anybody tell me how to get the hinge end cap out for replacement? There's no set screw but I can't get this thing out. I don't want to get too rough with it but I can't for the life of me get this end cap put for replacement.

Using a small drill bit, drill out the dimple or dimples. The cap has a groove the dimple traps.

You *might* get lucky by using a pair of vicegrips to lock onto the remaining plastic and twist it out. You *might* be luckier if you drilled the plastic out first.

I had to do something similar with a bow cover support years ago.

Ya I got it to twist but it won't pull out. Even tried tapping the vice grips with a small hammer to no avail. Like I said I didn't wanna get too rough with it without getting some opinions from folks who actually know what they're doing. I'm one of those guys who actually knows when to stop and isn't too proud to ask for help lol.

I hear ya. I drilled mine out and was able to save the dimples that way. IF I recall, as I went up in drill size, it eventually just spun right out. Something to consider...

Drilled out the dimples and it came out. Took a little more work with vice grips and tapping with a small hammer but it popped out.
