My wife had been bugging me, for some time now, to get a bimini installed on our boat. Well, I finally gave in and went to the local boat supply store and purchased one. She and I easily installed it to the boat and we were ready to try it out. After being out all afternoon, we were on our way back home and we were chatting about how the top must go down to fit back in the garage, but old habits are hard to break, when I got home I backed her right into the garage. As we herd a terrible sound and we looked at each other and screamed, "the bimini"!!!
I only had to replace the rear bow, and reshape the rear hooks because it streched them out straght. Now we always put the top down before motoring home. Of course this was her fault for wanting the bimini in the first place

My favorite with the boat top is trimming low hangingb tree limbs.... when I have more time ask me about the trophy deer heads and Igloo boxes that "WERE" securely lashed to the Suburban roof rack and the carport......

Re: bimini rookie

I had the boat in the garage, with the bimini up so I ciuld get in/out of the boat easily.

Days later, I towed the boat out.

I stopped when I heard all the noise:
I had to totally replace the bimini top
I had to buy a new garage door opener
I had to suffer my wife's comments, and still do

Now, I attach the keys to the top, when it is up. I need the keys to lock the hitch and coupler.
