Bildge Pump

I have a Mirrocraft 14' boat, 25 hp Merc, purchased in 2018.
I discovered recently that the bildge pump does not seem to be working but I cannot see how I am ever going to replace it as it is in a very ackward location at the back of the boat and appears (at least to me) to be impossible to remove.
Firstly, I have to remove the battery to even reach it with one arm through the battery compartment door. I can feel the pump and (I think) and can raise and lower the pump float with one or two fingers.
Secondly, the gas tank is also a part of the compartment and if I remove the gas tank a 10-12 year old might be able to crawl into that space (certainly not me).
I have written the Mirrocraft company to see if they have any suggestions but have not heard back from them yet. I suspect they will just tell me to go to the marina that sold it to me but I was hoping to replace it myself.
Any suggestions/comments would be gratefully appreciated.
Thanks.....Brian

I hear ya....my Sylvan is almost the same !! Often wondered what I would do if it needed replaced. Thankfully mine works good and never gets used, only tested on ocassion. Wish I had better info for you, if you figure it out let me know !! Just like cars, easy to put together at the factory, but not designed to be worked on after !!
