Big dollar repair or minor fix?????

2005 Rinker 232 Captiva Cuddy
5.0 L Mercruiser w/ Bravo III outdrive
Twin counter rotating props

I can move the outdrive all the way to starboard by hand. Does not move to port side by hand. In the water, steering has to be turned 1/2 turn to the port to drive straight. If I let go of the wheel, the wheel and out drive go to the right. Big dollar repair?????

I would try and sticK my head back under the engine cover were the cable connects to the drive and have someone move the drive and see just what is lose


I have see it here to be as simple as the bolts anchoring the cable did not have the lock-tabs bent and they fell out OR who can say without a look

At Worse, your Gimbel Ring is wallowed out,+ is Junk,........

At Best,.......Maybe a loose Bolt or something,..........
