I currently have 2000 bf90 and want to trade it in for a 2005 "bf115" was wondering if the set up, throttle cables, shift box...etc would be same. in other words, make it simple and have to only swap out the engine. Thanks!

I don't really know. But the 90 is carb and the 115 is EFI, so I assume that the key switch panel will have different light indicators and no choke with, of course, a different wiring harness. Why not just move up to the 135 V-Tech? Really sweet motor.

I agree with BF130. Why not buy the new BF135/150? It is lighter than the BF115 and way more advanced. I have one and love it.

If your 90 was rigged with the 14 wire main harness you will have to change out to the 17 wire harness for the PGMFI panel or add a 3 wire harness to run the panel. Everything else should be just fine. I agree with Perry and BF130, go for the 135/150. These motors are lighter than the 115 and have a better fuel system. The 115 was just "released" again as a power thrust motor, but is the same old 115 that has been around for years.
