BF75L-Starting Fluid Start OK??

Hi Folks just bought a used honda(bf75l) and started it up on Tuesday of this week, at first I pulled about 6 times and then took the plugs out to checkand shot a little starting fluid, tighen the plugs and started it up on the first pull and was idleing fine.<br />I'v owned this motor for about two months now and have yet to put it out on the water only (just got a new job) just started the motor in a tub of water once a month but each time its a little hard to start but once it warms up its cool.<br /> <br />My questions are do I need to clean the carb? plugs look new maybe re-gap them? Used fresh gas with sea-foam and a new gas line filter.<br /><br />Any help ,advice, suggestions would be cool!!<br /><br />thanks, rookie

Howdy Rookie.<br /><br />Starting fluid shouldn't be harmful to a 4 stroke, but you need to solve the starting problem in a more conventional way.<br /><br />Get an Owner's Manual and study the correct starting procedure.<br /><br />Good luck.
