I just bought a used 5 horse BF50L and it needs a little work. Mostly the shift shaft is very hard to change gears with. There is no problem finding the gears, they`re all there and function well, but the lever requires hercules to move! Also, the serial plate is gone, but the lower block has a block number, it is: BF50-1006059. What gives with the shift shaft? And can someone tell what year the engine is?
