Scotty,
I dont have to clean mine all that often, only when I get in the vegetation near shore. Check to see that you dont have a hole in one of the screens on thelower unit. They are just plastic and they do get brittle and crack over time.

Never had a problem with mine for 4 years, but just today I noticed it was just barley coming out. How is a good way to clean it? Are you pushing a wire into it while it is running?

Looked at it in depth today and it was an easy fix. Just removed hose from side of engine block and blew air through it. Now it works like a charm. Have no idea why yours would clog so much scotty.

i figured out , the fitting where the hose connects to
the engine is where the trouble is...

and she pee'in a great stream !

Re: bf50 tell tale

not to change the original subject but does anyone know how to free up the shifter on a bf50? I can put a crescent wrench on the bottom of the handle and it shifts fine, just really stiff?? I can't seem to find anywhere to lube it to free it up! Any suggestions would be a help!
