BF50 ICM Recall

When trying to find an oil filter at the dealer I noticed a recall on the ICM unit (ignition module) for this model (newer ones) to prevent detonation under heavy loads. Has anyone had this done and id it help the rough idel if you are experiencing this?.

This service bulletin involves detonation above idle with engines powering heavy loads ,as in a houseboat,barge,deckboat,or a just plain under powered ,over propped boat.If you are in any of those situations ,this bulletin might help you.If your engine is healthy that dealer ought to be able to make it idle fine.These triples can be tricky to adjust.
