BF45 Extension Case Grommet - Where Does It Go?

I have two BF45AM LRTA purchased 1994 and have just replaced the water pumps and lower seals. I cannot for the life of me understand where the extension case grommet is supposed to go. The parts diagram (1st attachment) shows part #19 (P/N 40204-ZV5-000) going inside the impeller housing #2...but it does not. Instead, the shop manual pages (grayed pages) show the "water tube seal ring" (identified as part #9 on the parts diagram (P/N 19253-ZV5-000) but not identified by number in the shop manual) which is what was in place when I dissembled it. So where does the extension case supposed to go?

The grommet goes in the extension case! ;^)

It's located up much higher than the area you're looking I think. That grommet will be the one holding/stabilizing the water pipe going up into the engine. I seriously doubt you're going to want to mess with it as getting to it is going to involve removing the extension case (the part between the motor and the lower unit).
