Looking for some suggestions & information please.
I have a 2003 Honda BF25 (purchased Used) that after running for 6hrs lost 3/4 quart of oil. We had a Honda Marine dealer look at the motor, and they replaced the Oil Pan gasket & Base gasket (Not sure what this one is), and Compression tested the cylinders which were fine.
Besides the loss of oil, the motor runs fine and does not smoke.
After running the engine again for about 6hrs it again lost about 3/4 quart of oil.
I noticed there is a small hole about the size of a Q-Tip just infront of the Gear oil check bolt that oil is coming out of. Does anyone know what this hole is?
Also any ideas on what may be causing the oil loss?
And/or any other suggestions? (Besides Informing the dealer that they did not resolve the problem)
Thanks
