bf100 honda 4-stroke

i found a hole in the exhaust pipe .want to know if there is a way to patch the hole without removing the pipe . i can see the hole. found j.b weld at the auto parts store . did anyone every hear of using this on exhaust leaks.

As long as you get the surface sqweaky clean, roughed up a little, and get a good bond, JB should do the job.<br /><br />

Hello Tom <br /> The problem you have with your exhaust pipe is fairly common with these motors. I have made this repair many times. Odds are that pipe is shot. The JB weld may indeed work, But it won,t last long. Think of it as a 20 year old car with a rotten tail pipe. If your motor is worth anything at all, this job is worth doing right. You will probably need to perform some other service work while your at it. Might as well do it all now.

No way ,that I know of to get any tiny elven hands[kinda seasonal do'nt you think?]in there to patch that leak .Pull the powerhead and do the pipe.
