I've got an old (1979 I think) BF100 that has been sitting for a while. It's in great shape and the carb was nice and clean. After changing the gear and motor oil it seemed to run fine until it warmed up, then a cylinder dropped out. I'm not sure how to check the ignition coil, but after cleaning up the mounts (I assumed this provides the ground for the coil?) it seemed to run a little better. The lower cylinder still seems to be firing periodically (better than the single cylinder I had earlier.) Swapping the plugs didn't make much difference. The lower cylinder is the weak sparker.

Any tips on improving the quality of spark, or do you folks think a new ignition coil is in order?

Thanks,
