I can't get my 1999 Honda BF-15 to stay running. It was running fine last week. Now, the only way it will start is with the manual choke.[It does have remote controls]. As soon as I push the manual choke in more than 1/4 way, it dies. While the manual choke is pulled out it runs great. It will not start at all using the remote choke.I was going to try to remove the carb. and clean it, but I have no repair manual and I'm in the Bahamas on vacation, with no shops available for parts. Any Ideas would be a great help. Thanks

pull the carb, flush well with the carb cleaner spray in the can and reassemble. most the time its water or trash and odds are good the gaskets are reusable, if not it still wont run and you will need a kit.
dont like doing it that way but sometimes its nessasary.
sometimes there are just no parts.

OK, I pulled the carb and cleaned it. It does start and run good, but I noticed that when I used the remote for fast idle and choke, the choke does not move at all.I was going to take apart the linkage for the remote, but I am lacking any book or diagram that shows how it should be. I think that something in that linkage it not contacting the choke linkage. When I pull up the choke on the remote it only goes up halfway. Any Ideas ?
