I'M LOOKING AT A 1999 BF 130 FOR THE FIRST TIME. HAVENT LOOKED UNDER THE HOOD YET, IS THIS A CARB OR EFI MOTOR? ALSO, RECEIVED GOOD INFO ON THE HEAD/BLOCK ISSUES FROM THIS SITE, WAS WONDERING ABOUT THE FUEL PUMP ISSUES. WHAT SER#'S ARE AFFECTED ETC.
I too have a 1999 BF130. It's an EFI motor. Sorry, I don't have any info as to what serial numbered motors need the fuel pump upgrade, but it was done to mine, and since you have the same year motor, it's probably applicable to you also.
Engines manufactured during that year had some "issues" and were recalled. The owners were given a 10 year warranty on the engine.<br /><br />I do not recall the specifics, but I'd inquire if the warranty is transferable.<br /><br />Mine are 2002 and the problem was fixed by then.....
