Ok, so I finally pulled my car out and have decided to work on the BF-100 motor. In June I said that it only ran when the cover was off... it was decided that there is likely an exhaust leak.

I just purchased the Seloc repair manual.. and have decided to try to fix this.

My question.. who has done this before? I really don't know what I'm looking for.. exhaust gasket perhaps???

How difficult is this? I've done some work with replacing fly wheels and clutches on my mustangs with help from Haynes Manuals... and am pretty competent with tools???

Also.. I NEED some shear pins for this little motor and no one in Cincinnati seems to have them and I can't easily find them online... anyone have a good source for them?

Thanks!

Is your motor is the red and blue cowl? i sold my 1982 to a friend and had some extra pins I bought, let me see if I can get you some.
