It's a heck of a lot easier than backing down the ramp.

I could well be wrong, but do you see that Sail boat on the middle jetty?
Well, I bought a MacGregor 26M (which that is), and shipped it out to Aussie.
The picture advertising it seems identical to this picture, except the photographer was standing on the centre jetty facing the triple decker.
I could be wrong, but I immediately recognised the setting.

How'sthat!!

No Title

What do you reckon about this pic?
I can't read the rego # on the bow but to me the sail looks in identical position in each picture.
Anyway, I bought it. Small world eh?

Your right Southcogs - pleased I didn't buy the F150 to pull it.

Cheers
Phillio

We had a truck go in hood first at a local ramp here. They were trying to jump start the boat and "slid on the slick ramp" The truck owner was quoted in the paper as saying the ramp should be closed because it's a hazard. My wife and I had used the ramp with no problem and her driving.

Right from the MacGregor website - note the large cruise boat in the background

Jerry, the picture in the first post is my home port, Marina Del Rey, Los Angeles, CA.
I often walk over to the public launch ramp for some entertainment.

I think what you are actually seeing a vehicle that backed in too far and being pulled by the trailer because it was floating more than the truck and easier to grab onto.
