There is a video out there, somewhere, showing how the "geniuous's" lost the Jeep in the first place.

I think they did not forsee and oncoming flood.

I'm thinking the only salvageable parts might be the air in the tires.

I believe it was. I don't recall if it was a flood or in the incoming tide. The incoming tide, in many places there, takes a lot of people by surprise. From dry to 30 feet in an hour.

I'm headed there Sunday.

Maybe you're refering to a tide bore DJ? Which is a in rushing wave caused by tidal action.

The tides take roughly 6 hours from low to high and vice versa.

I live near the Alaska border in British Columbia and we have as much as 24 feet of tidal range here.

Mike, I am. Thanks for the clarification.

I've never witnessed the actual incoming. I've only seen it either fully in or fully out, in Anchorage.

I was told, by locals, that it catches too many people off guard.

Anyway, as it turns out, those guys were in a river. As we see, river crossings can be very tricky. They gambled and lost-big time.
