I just want to get some opinions and reasons before I buy. I'm looking to buy at the end of the season so that I can get more boat for my money.

Cruising and some freestyle. I would like a 2 seater. Something aggressive and fast, or able to make it that way.

Best all-around craft is probably a GTX model Seadoo. Powerful enough for lots of fun, fuel injected, oil injected, very dependable, great hull design, with forward, neutral & reverse. A 1997 or 1998 should be had for $3000. I bought a gorgeous 1999 GTX w/92 hours, including trailer for $3850 in October 2002. It has been great for two seasons. The deals will be coming around in mid-September and October. Good luck...

He will not be happy with the "free style" performance of the GTX.(3 seater) I suggest the Yamaha GP 800, or GPR 1200.

he said 2 seater and I have a gtx myself and I can out do any ski 2 or 3 seater on the water with it but a stock one will definitely not do what he wants, he could get a xp they are fairly common and not too expensive either, and even a gsx ltd but I personally do not like the 951 engines and will not touch one, not that the 787 is any better I like them because they are easy to work on, If you find a 95 xp it will have the 720 engine and they are extreemly reliable and easy to work on plus they have plenty of punch, 85 hp, yamaha are good machines but more expensive usually than sea doo and a little harder to work on. a 96 and newer xp has the 787 110 hp engine and thats more than you need I would say hang out where jet skies are and ask the owners what they like or don't like about their ski, Most will tell you and some are clueless, Not to throw in a sales pitch but a matter of fact, If you want free style and want the capability of doing things with a jet ski that no stock jet ski could even dream of duplicating in the trick , free style area, just add my steering to it and you will kick butt. Forget sponsons , ride plates and intake grates its all you need to be able to do virtually any thing you could imagine. Including riding like a normal person and enjoy the ride.
