Best Marine Head Unit

I currnetly have a JBL MR-5 Marine Head Unit and have had problems with the display/faceplate and it changes volume and channels when I hit larger waves. I am about to get rid of it. I want some opinions of yall out there with different head units and yalls experiences with them. I am leaning towards a Sony, any experience with these? I have about a 200 dollar budget for the head and 100 dollars for the speakers. Thanks.

JB, The JBL MR5 is a marine stereo CD player with a detachable face, it doesn't have a 'head unit' - its just a bit of a terminology mix up.<br /><br />Aldo

Sorry, kinda slang term for stereo system. Anybody happen to have a sony? I would like to know of yalls expereinces.

Clarion or JVC have both worked well for my boats in the past.
