I have a Seloc manual for my older boat, but the dates end at 1991. I purchased a 95 model boat and was looking for the best manual for wrenching, I have been getting by with this forum and youtube, but sometimes I just need the book in front of me. I read there may be a readable manual online but not printable if someone could lead me to that thread. TIA

The Boatinfo (http://boatinfo.no/lib/library.html) site has manuals for that engine and outdrive, but that site relies on Adobe's Flash, which has reached End of Life and is no longer supported. (I just tried it and it worked, but I suspect that won't last for long...) There is no word as to whether there is an alternative that will be become available.

Your best bet is to buy a genuine Mercruiser service manual. The Seloc and Clymer manuals aren't regarded very highly due to many inaccuracies.

Yea, my flash is done. My computer has wanted me to uninstall since the first of the year. Is there a cheap or what is the best place to purchase the manual? I found this:

or this?

Kinda odd to me the new manual is cheaper, would I want the older book, or what's the difference?

I'm not familiar with the newer book; Manual #14 is what I use, but I'd be interested in seeing a copy of the newer book. With any luck, someone who has seen it will jump on and tell us about it.

I shot the seller a low ball offer and he accepted, so I purchased the newer 2020 book. I can't see it being worse then the old book, I would expect the book to be updated with better techniques, and or superseding part numbers? Who knows, I'll let you know how I feel about it when it arrives.

No there isnt. Never was, never will be
After purchasing the manual I searched around and did find some stern drive PDFs that appear to be Mercury step by step direction on stern drive installation, gimbal installation, but couldn't find one for bellows & shift cable. Can someone lead me to a PDF to complete my installation? I just want to read what Mercury states the installation proceudre and what goes first, what needs lubed, torque specs, etc.. TIA

Most free manual download sites are phishing sites, and they dont hold the copyright for the manuals. Boatinfo was the 1 place that let you view the manual, but not download/print a manual in its entirety. W the phase out of Adobe Flash, its likely to be shuttered for good soon.

Iboats doesnt permit the posting or linking of copyrighted materials.
