I am looking for the best grease to pack my new bearings with for the initial installment. I have waterproof grease in my grease gun that I keep them maintained with through the year, but can I pack my bearings initially with any kind that will be better for them?
Type is what I am looking for mostly, as the brand does not matter so much to me.
Thanks in advance,
Wayne

Dont mix different greases, whaever you pack them with, you need to use to replentish them with. So, either find out what is in your grease gun, or buy two more tubes of grease.

You are using this on a trailer(presumably one that is pulling a boat so is going into the water when launching and landing) I would go with a waterproof type grease, hopefully the same as you have in your grease gun. I am sure you have bearing buddies and do the normal check every year of the bearings and replace seals unless you do not use or travel too far in which case you can probobly get by with just adding a good waterproof grease.

Don't mix aluminum complex grease with any of the lithium greases:it will turn to goo at higher temperatures. If the tube does not state the grease type, call the manufacturer.

Israel Hands
